[Event] Gloo announces its Hackathon focused on redemptive technology, AI
September 13-15, 2024, in Boulder, Colorado, USA
Technologists will again gather in Boulder, Colorado, for the second annual “AI & the Church” Hackathon sponsored by Gloo. The theme will be Redemptive Technology, and participants will develop new concepts and solutions for the proper application of AI in church life.
The event aims to promote human flourishing in spiritual, physical, mental, vocational, financial, and relational areas. Gloo's Chairman, Pat Gelsinger, CEO of Intel, will speak about the potential of AI to do good. The hackathon will also include working groups with participants like Ed Stetzer from Talbot School of Theology and leaders from organizations such as YouVersion, Right Now Media, ACS Technologies, and PushPay.
The goal is to enable the church to use AI for good and create solutions that honor God and serve the entire church. A total of $250,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to teams that create AI-powered
solutions to advance human flourishing and support churches. The event has expanded its capacity to 300 participants this year. Gloo conducted its first Hackathon in 2023, focusing on AI-based solutions in church administration, leadership, intimacy with God, and a wild card category.
Applications for the 2024 Hackathon were due in June. To be added to the waitlist, visit www.gloo.us/hackathon.
